Grow Weed at Home: Is It Possible?

A lot of people, although they have come to realize that to grow weed at home is fairly easy, they do not understand that they can grow ultimate ones as well. Not only will the plants grow faster in a hydroponics system, but when plants begin to mature there isn't any down time for transplant shock Try an interesting experiment. Use the traditionalsoil planting for one plant and use the hydro method for the other. If it takes almost twice the length of time for the soil to mature, don't be surprised! As the plant mature, it becomes root-bound, which slows down the growth of the plant, as it does most times.

The wick system and the reservoir systems are the easiest systems of hydroponics. Although there really isn't any real 'system' such as a pump and drain, the basic premise is that the water will wick to where you need it to go. Of course, to be done correctly, holes need to be created in the pots after the wicks are cut and placed inside. Don't forget that there has to be a spacer at the bottom to keep the plants above the reservoir of water below the plant to grow properly.

The reservoir system to grow hydro weed is less work than the wick system and a lot less hassle to set up and maintain. The plant receptacles to be used should be placed in a tray that is at least 4 inches high, like the size of a kitty litter. Fill each individual vessel 1/3 up from the bottom with clay beads. A hydroponics vermiculite-perlite mix with peat moss should be the topper. Now place each container in the tray. In the tray, a water solution full of hydroponics nutrients should be poured so that 1/4 of the container is immersed in water.

In order to get more budding in less time, these techniques are best used in a greenhouse or indoors. When using the hydro method, you can water your plants daily which will cause them to grow even faster. The methods mentioned above are made to drain and hold moisture more effectively than planting in soil so over-watering problems that affected your plants in the past, is just that, in the past. With the wick and reservoir passive methods, there is no need to worry about mineral buildup in the soil or lack of root oxygen.

Lastly, if you grow weed in soil you can use containers that are smaller because of the nature of this technique. A plant can become mature in a 3/4 gallon pot and it will not be necessary to be repotted with hydroponics. That plant can go from seed to maturity in that same container. That is impossible when your plant is in soil because when it becomes mature, it's bound to the root. Rarely does a plant become root-bound because the nutrient water sustains that hydro weed and the environment used permits the oxygen distribution within the plant.
